NZXT HALE82 V2 New Generation of Power Supplies Introduced

NZXT HALE82 V2 Power Supplies has Performance without the Price tag

At Computex new series and items are being introduced and one to keep an eye out on is the NZXT HALE82 V2 power supply series. NZXT stated that their reasoning for building this new line of PSUs was to bring performance to the masses without the huge price tag that other companies charge for the same thing. First two entries into the new lineup are not going to set world records with performance but anyone looking for a solid PSU with more options than a wattage rating then these might be be ones for you.

The first two models that NZXT will be bring out is a 700w for $99.99 and 550W for $79.99. Like I said above these are suppose to have some quality features and let me go over those now.

NZXT HALE82 V2 Features

  • 80+ Bronze Rating
  • 135mm Fan for cooling
  • Full Modular cables
  • Should support SLI and Crossfire

Also if you are looking to upgrade to Intel Haswell these will be compatible with the new C6 and C7 idle power states.

Overall it looks like NZXT should sell quite a bit of these. They aren’t going to power quad SLI Titans but they have enough juice for one high end GPUs for the 550W model and be able to handle two cards in SLI or Crossfire. With 80+ Bronze rating you get stability for power flow. The one feature that will set these apart besides the price point is you really can’t find any PSU that is full modular. Corsair is the closest to that with the TX line but they semi-modular and you have to get into the gold and platinum ratings before Corsair has a fully modular PSU and pretty much everyone else is the same way.
