So basically with the launch of Intel Haswell it looks as if Sandy Bridge core processors along with Intel’s Pentium brands for that generation will will dead also. While this is not by any means breaking news since most of all the processors were given EOL or end of life status at the beginning of 2013.

The significant thing about this is that we are seeing also that the Intel Ivy Bridge processors are starting to be phased out. The first two processors according to this roadmap is coming from the i5 core processor line, the i5-3450 and i5-3450S. I’m sure other are on their way out once Intel finally releases the rest of their Haswell lineup here pretty soon in September.
