AMD 8000 Series GPU Specs
While the world was focused on the release of the GTX 770, GTX 780, and Intel Haswell, the AMD 8000 series GPU specs were released over at AMD.com. The HD 8350 and the HD 8400 both use the same architecture as we saw with the previous AMD 5000 Series GPUS. They are also rather throttled back with only a 64bit memory interface. To be honest, they really just look like 5000 series GPUs that have been re-branded.
The HD 8570, HD 8670, HD 8760, HD 8870, HD 8950, and the HD8970 all use the Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture that we saw with the HD 7770. I’m curious to see how this new architecture performs now that we can see it in a full blown GPU.

AMD 8000 Series GPU Specs Continued
These three cards will like be the starting line up, that us as gamers want to look at. These AMD 8000 Series GPU Specs are the cream of the crop. I’ve actually seen rumored specs for the HD 8990, however the sheet had incorrect specs for some of the other cards that AMD gave us definite specs on, so I decided not to include that in this article. I’m still on the lookout though!

It’s nice to see that AMD has a new line up ready to combat Nvidia. However, I’m disappointed we didn’t see the HD 8990 in the AMD 8000 Series GPU specs that were released last week.
