ASUS Maximus VI ROG Z87 Formula Motherboard Added to Lineup

ASUS has announced that they will be adding in another motherboard in the Maximus VI ROG series. The new motherboard’s full name will be the ASUS Maximus VI Z87 Formula. Obviously this motherboard will be using Intel’s newest chipset made for Haswell processors. According to the press release, the ASUS Maximus VI Formula motherboard was built for incredible cooling and reliable overclocking with no-compromise components. One of the big differences between this and the other three ASUS Maximus VI motherboards is that the Formula will basically sporting the ROG (Republic of Gamers) version of their TUF armor that has come with the ASUS Sabertooth motherboards.

ASUS has also made sure to include some other features such as the CrossChill technology that helps keep the MOSFET area cooler than normal (up to 23 centigrade lower in the right conditions). ASUS says this about their CrossChoill technology, “The CrossChill internal cooling channel is lined with fins to maximize the surface area for heat transfer and, because CrossChill uses standard G¼-inch threaded fittings, it will easily accommodate existing cooling equipment.” Included with the ASUS Maximus VI Formula motherboard also is the ROG Extreme Engine DIGI+ III voltage-regulator module (VRM), 60A BlackWing chokes, and Japanese-made 10K black metallic capacitors. The ASUS Maximus VI Formula will also have an upgraded UEFI BIOS.

The ASUS Maximus VI Formula motherboard will also be including SupremeFX sound technology, ROG Sonar Radar which is an overlay for FPS (First Person Shooters) that give you precise details about where sounds are coming such as gunshots and footsteps.
