Today we will look at the Noctua NH-L9a low profile CPU cooler and how well this tiny but effective cooler does its job keeping AMD’s flagship APU cool. From the model of the cooler we have the exclusive AMD version but if you have an Intel processor you can get the NH-L9i CPU cooler which is the exact same except built for Intel sockets. Some of the basic features of the NH-L9a cooler is it is an L-type cooler, comes with a 92 x 14 mm PWM fan, 37 mm tall with fan, compatible with FM1, FM2, AM2(+), and AM3(+) sockets. Noctua designed the NH-L9a CPU cooler for small form factor and HTPC style PCs. They caution on their website that while this cooler can be used in any size form factor it is recommended not for use on a CPU above 65 TDP.
