It has been about a month since I got my AMD Test Drive kit. When I first got the email I was very happy to be included as part of this program. At first trying to figure out what exactly I was going to get got me excited to see what AMD A10-6800K APU could do. I’ve always tried to keep my system up to date and never had an interest in AMD’s APUs until I built an HTPC for the house. My HTPC that I built has an AMD Phenom II 965 powering it and it did seem like overkill and that’s when I really started paying attention to AMD APUs for a better solution.
Now Dorkstar has published an article about the specs of the AMD Test Drive but let me go over them again.
