A slide showing the AMD X570 Chipset has been leaked
If you’ve kept an eye out for the next version of PCIe then you’ll be happy to know that details have emerged about PCIe 4.0. The next generation of PCIe would be a part of the AMD X570 chipset. This chipset would be the first of its kind with the new PCIe connection. It would also be another feather in AMD’s cap in recent years thanks to the success of the Ryzen. Having PCIe 4.0 would mean huge gains not only for graphics cards but for M.2 Solid State Drives and other hardware devices as well. Having this new standard would open up the lanes allowing for more speed across the motherboard.
AMD X570 The Future Is Almost Here
The AMD X570 Chipset has rumblings of showing up at Computex which runs from May to June of 2019. Computex is the largest computer hardware trade show around, so it would make sense that the new platform would debut there.

AMD Plans A Whole New Experience With The Zen 2 Architecture
The leaked information comes from Gigabyte slides showing the processors under their codename for the chips which is Matisse. This slide also shows the last generation of Ryzen processors still being unreleased meaning this is an old slide of information. One of the best things about all Ryzen chipsets to date is that it’s backward compatible with older Ryzen CPUs. There’ll be features you can’t use with older chips with the new chipset, but the PCIe 4.0 would be compatible with all Ryzen CPUs however. AMD wants to improve upon efficiency on a 7nm process with Zen 2. This would give huge performance gains and higher clock speeds for the end-user. Not only will Zen 2 be a step up from earlier Ryzen CPUs, but will be a complete re-imagining of the Ryzen line for a whole new experience with these chips.
AMD X570 Information not confirmed yet
For now, AMD hasn’t confirmed any of this and probably won’t do so until the time of release. It’s best to take this with a grain of salt. This could be very promising news though for anyone that wants the extra speed. AMD also want to make better use of the memory controllers which have had hiccups since day one with Ryzen. These new chips will get a performance boost through AVX performance enhancement but still won’t add AVX-512 support.
