Antec High Current Pro Grid Platinum Series PSU Unveiled

Antec is trying to one up Corsair with the new Antec High Current Pro Grid platinum grid PSUs that are being show at Computex. Corsair AXi line of PSUs let you use Corsair Link to control how your power supply acts and give you a lot more options than a normal power supply. The new Antec High Current Pro series will give you the same options just Antec style. The PSU will plug into a USB 1.1/2.0 header on your motherboard to give you control over the PSU.

The software that will be releasing will be called Antec Grid. Overall Antec Grid will let you control fan speed, efficiently, various power options, and temperatures. According to Antec the High Current Pro Grid series will let you set the fan speed curve for temperatures which has four different senors built inside to keep an accurate record. This power supply series will be 80+ platinum rated for very high efficiently and are identical to the current Antec High Current Pro platinum series PSUs that they have out and ready for you to buy.

Antec will be releasing multiple PSUs under this series ranging from 750W, 850W, 1000W, 1200W, and 1300W.

Antec High Current Pro Grid PSU Features

  • 80+ Platinum Rated
  • Fully Modular
  • (4) Internal Temperature Senors
  • Use with Antec Grid Software
  • SLI and Crossfire certified

When it come to being SLI and Crossfire the Antec High Current Pro Grid series are fully certified but the 750W model is rated for using only two GPUs with it. The 850W and 1000W were built with the idea in mind of using Tri-SLI or Crossfire, while the 1200W and 1300W were built to power up to four GPUs at once.

Seems to be a pretty solid lineup of PSUs for gamers or anyone running a high end system. The Current Antec High Current Pro series will cost you around $150 to $420 on Amazon. I would think depending on model the High Current Pro Grid series will be in the same price range but with the added functionality of Antec Grid.
