Enermax Power Supplies will Support Intel Haswell C States
In an earlier article written on Modcrash about Potential Haswell Compatibility issues with older PSUs, Enermax has reportedly came out as the first major power supply manufacturer for PCs that has addressed this possible issue about their product line of power supplies. Enermax says they will be able to support the new C6 and C7 power states that Haswell utilizes to drop idle power consumption down to 0.05 amps.
While it is a crowning achievement in the PC world of what Haswell should bring us power and energy wise it has left some people wondering about their own power supplies if you will be able to use the C6 and C7 states. Intel has told motherboard manufactures to make sure they can be disable these in the bios but considering at idle that Haswell will use 10X less energy than Ivy Bridge. I for one would want to be able to use those C states.
This is what Enermax had to say about their PSUs
“As one of the technologically leading power supply manufacturers, Enermax makes a step forward and publishes a PSU compatibility list. All current high-end and mid-range models from Enermax are already prepared for the upcoming Intel processors. They are equipped with a DC-to-DC converter which enables the so-called ZERO Load Design. These power supplies will deliver rock-stable voltages even at 0W load. Also the owners of older Enermax power supplies can be relieved: The manufacturer applies the ZERO Load Design already in all high-end power supplies since the Revolution85+ series which has been launched in 2008.”
Also here is a current list of Enermax PSUs that will be able to use the C6 and C7 states

Now just to wait for other companies to give an update on their PSU compatibility (hint hint Corsair/SeaSonic)!
