Metal Gear Solid 5 Confirmed Better on PlayStation 4

With the console wars raging at full steam and both Sony and Microsoft trying to prove why consumers should buy their respective console vs their competitor it looks like Sony just got some more ammunition. Konami has confirmed Metal Gear Solid 5 will run at higher resolutions on PlayStation 4 and it will with the Xbox One.

Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 5 will run naively at 1080p and 60 frames a second but only at 720p and 60 frames a second on the Xbox One. Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid, had this to say,”

“I think, between the home console available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It’s the closest to the photo-realistic quality we are aiming at.” Hideo Kojima also said the PS4 is better since it has, “room to spare”

All of this is basically confirming why the PlayStation 4 has outsold the Xbox One 2 to 1. It looks as Microsoft is going to have to bring out the big guns to get back into the race with respect of matching the PS4.

If you still are on an old Xbox 360 or or PS3 then you can expect 720p at 30 frames a second.
