Corsair Unveils New Gaming Mice, the Raptor M40 and M30
At Computex, Corsair has shown off some new peripherals and some mid level gaming mice they are making part of the Corsair Raptor series. Corsair introduced two different mice which are the M40 and M30. While neither of these are as flashy as Corsair’s enthusiast level mouse they do have some good features for those not looking for the greatest but something that will just straight out perform.
Corsair Raptor M40 Gaming Mouse
The Corsair Raptor M40 is the first up. From the few pictures we have seen and what we have read about it is it should be a pretty solid mouse. The M40 was made for right handed people with an optical sensor that will give you a DPI of up to 4000. It will have adjustable weights, DPI switching, and seven different buttons located on the mouse that are programmable. The M40 will launch later this month with a price tag of $59.99 according to Corsair.
With all of those features it looks like a solid mouse for just about any style of play. FPS, MMO, or RTS should not have any issues using this mouse my only concern is it does look a little short length wise from the pictures I have seen. Its ergonomic design does look comfortable but it just depends on what type of style you have to have to use this mouse.

Corsair Raptor M30 Gaming Mouse
The Corsair Raptor M30 is what Corsair is calling its low budget gaming mouse. We have seen that it will be released with a $49.99 price tag which while this isn’t a bad mouse, I would rather spent the extra $10 and get the M40.
The M40 will features an ergonomic style for right handed people like its big brother, the M40, it will also have a 4000 DPI optical sensor, DPI switching, six programmable buttons, and red LEDs to give it some style and set it apart from other mice.
Looking at both of these mice and you can see that Corsair put some thought into them but like I stated earlier that at a $10 difference I would go with the M40 instead of the M30. It will be interesting to see what comes of the Corsair Raptor line of mice later on when more are released and to see if they try and stay in the low to mid price point for gamers or they try to shoot higher. Either way look for both of these to be released later this month and then we will be some full specs on both of them.
