Noctua Project Redux color scheme change for award winning fans!
As long as I have known about Noctua I have always heard two distinct things about them. The first being they are the best makers of fans and CPU coolers when using air. The second is how god awful their coloring scheme is. Well the first one I completely agree with since I have been running a Noctua heat sink fan cooler on my i7-920 for the better part of 2 years without one issue and keep it running cool even overclocked to 3.8 Ghz. As for the second thing I am 50/50 since I rarely looking into the window of my case. Is their coloring scheme the best when trying to mod a system and make it all a certain color? A course not but a Noctua fan has never been mistaken either due to the color scheme they have employed.
Well modders and modderess you wish has finally come true. Noctua Project Redux has begun and their award winning fans are getting a face lift in the color department. At Computex, Noctua has shown off the exclusive new coloring scheme to those that were there and we have the pictures now to show you it. Basically from what we at ModCrash have heard is that Noctua plans to have, “streamlined, accessibly priced packages”. While this isn’t exactly clear of their intentions you will be from the picture below that the demo fan isn’t anywhere close to what you think of when Noctua comes to mind.
Noctua NF-A14 PWN Fan
From the picture above you can see this fan as stepped inlet design, anti-vibration pads, and a course the signature brown and beige color scheme.
Noctua Project Redux Fan
Noctua hasn’t released to much if anything really about Project Redux but you can see that the inlet design and rubber pads are gone but we have a solid color atleast that doesn’t jump out at you! I can assume we will know soon enough all the different fans they fan on including in Project Redux.
Let us know what ya think about these and if you would buy them if they offer the same performance as Noctua’s normal fans!
