1660 And 1650 Are Also Planned For Release Shortly After The 1660 Ti
Nvidia 1660 Ti graphics cards could be coming out sooner than you might think. February 15 is the expected date of release. This is exciting news, but there’s more! Shortly after the release of the Nvidia 1660 Ti, the 1660 and 1650 graphics cards are set to come out. The Nvidia 1660 Ti is also reported to be just under $300 MSRP with the 1660 coming in at $229.
Ray Tracing Still Has A Minute Before They’re Really Useful
People aren’t really too excited about the new features on the RTX graphics cards just yet. This is mainly just because there aren’t enough games that use the technology. There are always growing pains with new technology. Developers have to adapt and create their games around it. These prices for the new cards sound about right considering what the last generation Nvidia graphics cards went for before the crypto mining mishap. There hasn’t been any real word on the performance numbers just yet on the new cards, but hopefully, that will come soon as well.
New Hardware Usually Means Better Performance All Around
As with all new hardware, people just really want better performance with lower power consumption. This is what really makes new hardware so attractive. The new cards will still have the GTX branding on them as well since they won’t have Ray Tracing included. So if you’re just looking for something new without all the bells and whistles of the RTX series then these cards are going to be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. If the new line of graphics cards doesn’t sound promising to you then you should also know that Nvidia still plans on producing 1050 Ti graphics cards for the time being. These cards will more than likely drop in pricing as well. The 1050 Ti can still give you quite a bit of performance numbers where it counts right now so that would make the cards still an absolute bargain.
