NVIDIA Bundles Metro Last Light with GeForce GTX 660 and Up
NVIDIA Bundles Metro Last Light with GeForce GTX 660 and Up according to sources today. This is a win win for Nvidia and gamers to buy their GPUs and get the sequel to a popular game Metro 2033.
AMD and Nvidia has been locked into a war of giving away certain things with the purchase of their higher end video cards. AMD announced they would be giving Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon out to people who have bought their GPU 7750 and higher for their “Never Settle” bundle. They are also doing it retroactively so if you have bought a card you should be getting a code sometime soon if you have it registered so AMD can contact you. Nvidia in the mean time has been offering in game currency on popular free to play games. Including Metro: Last Light is Nvidia’s way of trying to sway customers to buy their cards and compete in what has been one sided for AMD.
According to the souce starting April 16th if you buy anything from the GeForce GTX 660 and up you will be receiving a copy of the game as appreciation for buying one of Nvidia’s graphics cards.
This looks like Nvidia is finally catching up with AMD on offering AAA titles with their games. They have done this in the past but also started only offering in game currency. This could be great for gamers down the road with AMD’s GPUs catching up to Nvidia or surpassing them in some cases but both of them offering upper tier games that people are willing to go out and buy on day one. This will make it harder for people to decide the question. Will I choose AMD or Nvidia?
