The Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 Flagship GPU Officially revealed!
The Nvidia flagship Geforce GTX 780 has been revealed and released today! The GTX 780 is the first card that Nvidia has shown from its upcoming and new 700 series of graphics cards (GPUs). Let us do a quick run down on what the GTX 780 has to offer and how well it stacks up to what the rumored specs were. First off the GTX780 is build around the same 28nm GK110 chip that the GTX Titan is currently using. It uses the same cooling technology and PCB that the Nvidia GTX Titan is using.

Nvidia confirmed would start around $649. Here are some links for EVGA, Galaxy, ASUS, PNY, and Zotac showing their sale price on Amazon which currently except for the ASUS graphics card is selling at the $649 while ASUS is selling theirs for $659. Currently they all show out of stock but I would assume since they all launched their respective cards today, it will be changing soon to in-stock.
Next let us show you some benchmarks!

I wished they replaced the GTX 680 with this card, rather than placing it at a higher price point.
I have read speculations that Nvidia strategy could be to target only super enthusiast (who can SLI two GTX 780 and beat a Titan) or those who haven’t upgraded from a GTX 480 or GTX 580.
Nevertheless this can be a great choice for those who have 1440p monitors and don’t want to pay the extra for a Titan.
At $660 on newegg, this is a huge jump in price from the price of the gtx680, I realize that Nvidia is going after the ultimate performance, but it seems difficult to rationalize such a large price jump for good, but not hugely substantial improvements.
Well just think of it as a baby Titan and the price tag sounds better if you were planning on getting one.
