A new leader for the fastest single GPU has taken over!
A new leader has emerged finally to take the slot of the fastest single GPU card in world, the NVIDIA Geforce GTX Titan Black. The GTX Titan Black replaces its predecessor the GTX Titan that at a $999 price point has made it obsolete with the GTX 780 Ti and R9 290X offering similar performance for gaming.
What makes the GTX Titan Black so special is that it is a full GK110 GPU core like the GTX 780 Ti but offers a couple more features. The GTX Titan Black offers Double Percision power that no other GeForce GTX GPU can offer, 6 GB of GDDR5 ram on a 384-bit buffer, and a boost clock of 980 Mhz which far exceeds the GTX 780 Ti. If you are looking to pick one or four of these up then you have a list of manufacturers such as EVGA, ASUS, Palit, MSI, ZOTAC, Velocity Micro to pick from. Pricing of the GTX Titan Black looks to be starting at $999 like the regular GTX Titan.
As far as looks go the GTX Titan Black is very similar to the original GTX Titan except for black accents and not completely black as some hoped it would be. I have added the full specs below as well as NVIDIA video showing off the new GPU.
