NZXT Phantom 630 Full Tower Case Review

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

The Phantom 630 is a very well designed full tower. It was all the features you could want for cooling, cable management, and looks. As with all of NZXT higher tier cases it includes NZXT’s Grid for management of your case fans which is always helpful and four fans so you the user will have above average cooling out of the box. Overall I have rate this case up there with any full to ultra tower. The bottom line is I really don’t think they could have included any more features to make this case better. Another thing that makes this case very attractive is the price tag at $179.99 from NZXT. Before I saw the price tag I figured this would be atleast a $200 case but the price tag does make this case a great alternative to other more expensive cases that have the same features or possibly less.

Now having said all of that i’ve used alot of cases and seen alot of cases and I really don’t have any issues with this case except two small ones. The first being is that for the expansion slots they used very small screws instead of larger thumb screws that come standard on the Phantom 530 and other smaller cases. While this isn’t a big deal it would have been nice to stay uniform with other cases on something that I would assume would be a very small cost for 9 thumb screws. My second issues with the case which is also something minor is routing of the auxiliary power connector. Actual cable management is not an issues its getting it threw a small opening that just isn’t quite wide enough to push it though. Since I was using the the Fractal Design Tesla R2 PSU the connector can split to form two 4 pin connectors so I got it though pretty easy but bigger PSUs with a solid 8 pin then you might have some issues. Both of these aren’t anything major but it would of been nice to have thumb screws at the very least since the connector size can vary and the Tesla R2 just may be bigger than average.

So in the end I give big kudos to NZXT and they design team on making a super functional case with a great price tag.
