Origin PC Millennium and Genesis cases for the discerning PC user
Computer cases have gotten pretty customizable in the last few years, but PC hardware and accessory company Origin PC is taking it a step up. Announced at CES, they are releasing a new computer case called the Millennium that should blow other options out of the water. The Millennium as built is a mid-sized case, but an expansion option called Genesis will allow the chassis to be upgraded to a full form factor tower. Features of the Millennium case are impressive. It will be the first to allow 4 different motherboard configurations – standard ATX, inverted ATX, rotated 90 degrees or rotated 90 degrees and inverted to allow better airflow and different internal hardware configuration as the owner desires. The front of the computer case opens to your choice of either the right or left, revealing five 5.25-inch hot-swappable front bays for all the hard drives one could need. But if five isn’t quite enough for you, the Genesis full-tower upgrade will allow a possible 24 additional hard drives! The chassis itself is made entirely of server-grade steel, and was designed for maximum airflow and durability. It also features a locking mechanism on both removable sides that support Kensington locks to keep your internals secure. Your system’s fans can be controlled manually, or you can simply push a button and let the automatic fan controller choose what RPM your fans require.
The tower is also truly customizable. An array of case colors are available, or you can work with the artists at the company when ordering to put whatever graphics/art you would like on the rig. In addition, the lighting color can be changed at any time by using the included remote control and selecting from 16 colors and 4 effects.
Origin also sweetens the deal with free lifetime service and support, so any time you would like to upgrade you can send your tower in and they will take care of the labor while you only pay for parts.
