QuakeCon 2014 moving to July in the Texas heat
QuakeCon 2014 dates have been announced. While nothing crazy has been announced for this years QuakeCon 2014 except that the 19th annual LAN party will be held in July instead of August which means directly in the middle of the Texas heat. As a Texas native (in Dallas to be exact) I know quite well about the scorching sun but luckily the people that make QuakeCon 2014 possible knows how to keep things cool. The exact dates for QuakeCon 2014 will be July 17th – July 20th. Not alot other than the date really have been announced which just means if you plan on coming to start making plans now. Registration will be moved up a month per QuakeCon’s site and you can check out any updates there or here also.
Last year Bethesda let you play The Elder Scrolls Online and PC Perspective put on a presentation about PC gaming and what had to been 100 giveaways during the presentation. I personally got to look at Maingear products and was absolutely blown away by the quality. You can check out our forums thread from last year with a lot of our pictures.
You can also get a discount hotel rate for the Hilton Anatole for $159/night by going though QuakeCon which means you just an elevator ride away from being in the action. QuakeCon is completely free to the public but you will have to pay for a BYOC seat.
