The Last of Us Gameplay Trailer and Release Date
The Last of Us gameplay is sure to please the zombie slaying and survival fans once released on June 14th, 2013. The Last of Us takes place in a zombie infested city where you and a few other survivors are “the last of us”. The game has a feel similar to that of Uncharted (created by the same studio), but just seems so much more polished and immersive. Everything down to what weapons you use, and how you use them feels… right.
The game seems to be centered around an adult male who befriends a younger girl. Those two journey their way through the city for survival. Any other details can only be somewhat answered by the cinematic trailer which shows a few more characters that you don’t see in the gameplay trailer. So who knows just how deep this rabbit hole goes.
The Last of Us Gameplay Trailer
This trailer was released during E3 2012 and highlights the first 15 minutes of gameplay within The Last of Us. While the first 6 minutes of the video is mainly them talking and walking around, once you get passed that the action really starts to begin. From watching the Last of Us gameplay trailer, you can really get a sense of the immersion, the weapons, the graphics, and the AI system. For instance, I loved the part where they walk by two dead bodies in a bath tub, who had committed suicide instead of being eaten by zombies, or how the AI talks and calls out “he’s behind that door.” It’s as if they really went above and beyond with this one and really focused on every little detail to make it feel eerily real.
The only thing that really concerns me about this game, is that it’s only be released one PS3. It seems odd that they didn’t hold out until the PS4 was released, or… you know… put it on PC?
The Last of US Cinematic Trailer
The cinematic trailer really does a good job at building a story upon the gameplay video. Plus it shows them riding horses… could we see some zombie slaying on horseback in our future?! I sure hope so.
