ModCrash Reviews the Turtle Beach Z300 Wireless Gaming Headset
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
The Turtle Beach Z300 headset have a couple drawbacks but they are far outweighed by its positive features. I have always wanted a wireless headset for my PC but had always put my money inside my PC rather than its peripherals until last year. I learned the hard way about how having the proper peripherals can enhance your gaming experience considerably. If you have used any of the headsets that Turtle Beach have made for consoles then you can expect the same quality with their headsets made for PC. I am very grateful for Turtle Beach sending us a set to review as I would gladly buy a set off the shelf for my personal use.
The biggest drawback to the Z300 headset is the lack of bass. It does have some and the tone boost helps. I have used other Turtle Beach headsets for the Xbox 360, namely the XP500 and XP400, and it seemed as though they had more bass in them. If you are big into bass then this might be a turn off but aren’t a big deal in my eyes when looking at the Z300 headset overall. If you are looking at purchasing this headset to listen to music and movies you won’t be disappointed but the Z300 headset really excels when gaming with the use of the 7.1 Dolby surround sound.
The bottom line is the Turtle Beach Z300 wireless gaming headset are pretty good. You can hear someone trying to creep up behind you from any direction, wireless range is great, and the microphone is crisp and clear. You can purchase this headset for about $179.99 from either Newegg.com or Amazon.com.

They sound great
Sounds great for a wireless set! I’ve always wondered at the quality difference between wired vs wireless with the same hardware/capabilities. As far as quality, would you say the wireless holds its own against wired?
