Change your password as a precaution if you have a Ubisoft UPlay Account
Earlier today I received an email from the Ubisoft team that suggested changing my password to any accounts I have for Ubisoft UPlay service because of suspected hacking occurring. Here is the email I received from Ubisoft this morning.
Dear Member,
We recently found that one of our Web sites was exploited to gain unauthorized access to some of our online systems. We instantly took steps to close off this access, investigate the incident and begin restoring the integrity of any compromised systems.
During this process, we learned that data had been illegally accessed from our account database, including user names, email addresses and encrypted passwords. Please note that no personal payment information is stored with Ubisoft, meaning your debit/credit card information was safe from this intrusion.
As a result, we are recommending that you change the password for your account
They did say that no credit card or bank accounts tied to Ubisoft UPlay accounts were compromised but it is always good to go ahead and change your password after something like this has occurred.
Also included in the email was this blurb for more information and general guidelines which are if you use the same name and password for other services it might be a good idea to go ahead and change the password of those services also.
Out of an abundance of caution, we also recommend that you change your password on any other Web site or service where you use the same or a similar password.

Hopefully no one from ModCrash has been hacked but like I said it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and change passwords if you do have and use an Ubisoft UPlay account.
