Finally get to see what Valve's Source 2 Engine looks like!
So a user at NeoGaf has posted some screenshots of what is supposedly going to be the Valve Source 2 engine. The screenshots are from a leaked slideshow from Valve that are specifically showing Left for Dead 2’s plantation level built with what is believed to us atleast the Source 2 engine. If true that means Valve might be planning to really kick off the Steam Machine era with a bang with games I would except, such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive, LFD2, TF2, and others, being recreated in the new Source 2 engine. Hopefully since this leaked presentation has hit the internet that Gabe Newell and Valve might finally give us some details on the long awaited Source 2 engine. Maybe we might finally see Half Life 3 and Left for Dead 3 to kick off the new Source 2 engine on the shiny new SteamOS on a Steam Machine.
Personally I can’t wait for the new engine. This is long in my opinion but one of the things I have always respected about Valve is that while all companies have to make a profit it never seems that the #1 goal at Valve is the profit and they will take as long as they need to build a game or in this case their new graphics engine but they always come out seemingly perfect and Valve’s games have always had great graphics and controls so I for one hope we get more information soon.
Let us know what you think of the pictures!
