World of Warcraft In-Game Charity Event

World of Warcraft player “Zuulzilla” is hosting an in-game charity event to raise funds for Child’s Play, a charity organization geared towards improving the lives of children in hospitals by providing games and toys.  The in-game charity, held February 7th at 8pm EST, will be conducted primarily through Zuulzilla’s personal stream, where viewers will be able to donate directly to the charity.  Those interested in partaking in the events are encouraged to sign up directly at Zuulzilla’s open raid links; there are separate sign ups for Horde and Alliance.  The first leg of the charity event will be reserved strictly for Alliance.  Players will complete a pre-determined list of Old World raids, including Molten Core, Karazhan, and Black Temple.  If there is enough interest, there will be teams racing against each other.  Of course, bets encouraged and accepted!  Don’t worry Horde players – you’re the guests of honor at the second half of the event.  After the raids, everyone is invited to meet up at Gurubashi Arena for some PvP action.  Completing the night will be an all-around fun STAMPEDE event, where everyone rolls a level 1 Tauren and races from Camp Narache to Echo Isles.  The winning prizes?  A chance to become characters in the Surviving Azeroth webcomic!

High Hopes for In-Game Charity Event

Zuulzilla told ModCrash that while this is her first event she’s running on her own, she’s participated in a few other Child’s Play in-game charity events, including a Minecraft event and Minecraft marathon.  When asked if she has any plans for future in-game charity events, Zuulzilla stated “not at the moment, but I’d love to get into the habit of doing them more often.”  She hopes to raise at least $500, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.  Her interest in the charity event holds a special personal meaning to her, as her young brother was in and out of hospitals for the first eight years of his young life.  For more information, visit Zuulzilla’s website, or follow her on twitter @Zuulzilla.
