Well E3 is finally here and so is all the info on the Microsoft Xbox One. If you watched the live stream from E3 from Microsoft then you already know all the info about the Xbox One and its specs, pricing, and official release date. If not then scroll down and see what Microsoft has to offer on the next generation console, the Xbox One.

Microsoft Xbox One

Xbox One Specs

  • Integration with smartglass
  • Smart match
  • Broadcast live
  • Automatic recording
  • No more MS Points – Just Cash.
  • Xbox live gold sharing

Hardware Specs

  • 8 Core CPU
  • 8GB of System Memory
  • 500 GB HDD
  • Blu-Ray Drive
  • 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct
  • HDMI In/Out
  • USB 3.0

Obviously the list of hardware is a huge improvement over the Xbox 360.  We know see a quad core CPU, 8GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, blu-ray, and finally integrated Wi-Fi.  If you think about the options the Xbox One comes equipped with at launch and considered the amount it would you cost you to pick up a Xbox 360 and build it to be similar, you’d be spending about the same amount.

Xbox One Pricing

$499

At a price point of only $499, it appears the Xbox One is similar to the Xbox 360, in terms of being sold at a loss.  Like the 360, Microsoft is counting on the users of the Xbox One to buy up movies, games, music, and whatever else they can convince you to purchase.  We honestly expected a higher price point, so we’re happy to see it sitting at $499.

Xbox One Release Date

November 2013

You should see the Xbox One of shelves in November, right before Christmas time oddly enough.

Xbox One Games to be Released

  • Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Killer Instinct
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • Forza 5
  • Minecraft
  • Quantum Break
  • D4
  • Project Spark
  • Crimson Dragon
  • Dead Rising 3
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Battlefield 4
  • Below
  • Halo 5
  • Titanfall

Possibly one of the biggest shockers here is Konami moving the Metal Gear Solid series over to the Xbox One.  No word on it being exclusive to only the Xbox 360, but definitely a win for Metal Gear Solid fans like myself who only have a PS3 to play the Metal Gear series.

Of course, we have are titan’s here to carry the launch of the Xbox One, such as Battlefield 4, Forza 5, and Halo 5.  I should probably include Minecraft in that last, but i’m curious to see if they actually have changed anything for the Xbox One release.

Xbox 360 coming up

  • Updated and redesigned console released 6/10/2013
  • Starting July 1 to Xbox One Release you get two free games with Xbox Live Gold Membership
  • Game downloads such as
    • Aassassins Creed 2
    • Halo 3
  • Many games will be on Xbox 360 still
  • World of Tanks coming to Xbox 360
  • Dark Souls II

As we’ve seen in the past with other consoles, the Xbox 360 will still be supported, and game developers will still be pushing out the last few remaining titles to the 360.  Additionally, some of the larger titles that you possibly haven’t picked up yet, will be available for download.
